This project explores how the built environment and technology-enhanced educational tools can be integrated to support student-centered, collaborative, and computationally-based learning.
This project will develop and research novel technology-enhanced learning environments that focus on supporting student-driven collaboration and engagement with computational technologies. We will prototype the design of physical spaces that integrate educational technologies and computational learning tools to support active learning across a variety of contexts.
Funding will kickstart a learning environment laboratory with small design-based pilot studies. Data from pilot studies will be used for larger proposals to various funding agencies. The learning environment laboratory will be used to integrate research across architecture, learning, and technology fields.
